kokon

Desolated furniture is combined and disguised to produce new forms, functions and identities. The ‘skeleton’ is a combination of existing chairs and tables, being wrapped in an elastic synthetic fiber. The material shrinks around the different pieces and forms a smooth, elastic skin, giving them an entirely new appearance. The Kokon furniture range is designed by Jurgen Bey for Droog’s 1997 Dry Tech project.
